Thank you to everyone who participated in, volunteered, sponsored, supported, and prayed for Believe! 2008. What a joy it was to see so many of you at this year’s event!

I was amazed as I watched you cross the finish line. Some of you ran right through the line, pushing right through to the end. Others of you soaked in our cheers as you struggled up that long, last hill. Still others of you took it easy – taking the time to enjoy your family and friends as you walked. It reminds me of how we travel the course of our lives in different ways at different times in our lives. Sometimes we have the wind to sprint through, sometimes we struggle, sometimes we can relax and rejoice. Through it all, though, faith is our constant: we travel life’s course as believers.

We are thrilled about the funds that have now been raised for McKinney’s children. Your participation in Believe! has helped many children receive the nurture and early childhood education that they so richly deserve. Our “Pair to Care” initiative as put shoes on children’s feet and hope in their family’s hearts. On behalf of all the children that we’ve helped, thank you!

Also, I’d like to invite you to St. Andrew’s. We meet at Wolford Elementary School every Sunday at 10 a.m., and will be having two special Christmas Eve services at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. For more information, click on over to our website at www.standrewsonline.net.
