Now, imagine that you are four years old. You’ve arrived at a Christmas party thrown in your honor with tons of gifts and the latest toys all wrapped up in bright colors and ribbons. As you excitedly open them, you come to a box. Inside this box holds the most wonderful gift of all, a pair of new sneakers of your very own. These shoes are not used, borrowed, handed down, or taped together. This all happened because your thoughtful teacher happened to notice your shoes that were glued together and put you on a wish list for a new pair of sneakers. This year Believe! has the opportunity with our great community to make this Christmas wish happen for all our Head Start students in desperate need of new shoes. Believe’s parent foundation, Dandelion Wishes, will “pair up” with the Head Start classes of McKinney ISD and provide new athletic shoes. It is our hope and prayer that we can collect enough so that no Head Start child in McKinney ISD has inadequate shoes. May we see the day when our city’s children are overjoyed more by the toys and books than the sneakers. We cannot do this without your help or Christmas Spirit!

• We are asking that when you are out shopping for new running shoes or apparel you purchase a pair of shoes in the size ranges of toddler 3’s – young adults.
• Bring the shoes to Believe! and drop them off at the registration tent. If you register race morning you will receive a $5.00 discount off the race day registration fee.
• You can make a monetary donation and we are happy to do the shopping for you! Please make checks payable to “Believe, Pair to Care” and send to P. O. Box 6003, McKinney, Texas 75071.
